Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GOLPHO collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains information when event guests and hosts use the service.

1. Overview

GOLPHO is an event engagement platform used by event providers, hosts, and guests. GOLPHO may be used to collect and display event scores, guest-uploaded photos and videos, guest messages, event galleries, leaderboards, recaps, and downloadable memory exports.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how an event is configured and used, GOLPHO may collect or handle:

  • Guest names.
  • Guest phone numbers or email addresses when an event provider chooses to collect them.
  • Event scores, leaderboard entries, and round results.
  • Photos, videos, and written messages submitted by guests.
  • Basic event usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the reliability of the service.

3. How We Use Information

GOLPHO uses information to provide and support the event experience, including to:

  • Let guests join events and submit scores.
  • Display photos, videos, messages, and leaderboards during or after an event.
  • Allow hosts and event providers to export or save approved event memories.
  • Provide customer support, maintain platform reliability, and prevent fraud or abuse.

4. Google User Data

When an event host chooses to connect Google Photos and initiate an export, GOLPHO requests only the Google Photos append-only permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/photoslibrary.appendonly.

  • GOLPHO receives only the OAuth authorization necessary to create a new Google Photos album and upload media intentionally selected by the event host.
  • GOLPHO does not browse, read, download, edit, organize, search, or delete a user's existing Google Photos library.
  • GOLPHO uploads only approved event photos and videos chosen by the host.

5. Data Sharing

Event providers and hosts control event visibility and moderation. Guest content may be visible to hosts, approved for galleries or recaps, or included in event exports based on those settings.

  • Google user data is never sold.
  • Google user data is never shared with advertisers.
  • Google user data is never sold to data brokers.
  • Google user data is never shared except with service providers necessary to operate the requested feature.

6. AI and Machine Learning

  • Google user data is not used to train AI models.
  • Google user data is not used to improve generalized machine learning models.
  • Google user data is not transferred to third-party AI providers for training.

7. Security

GOLPHO uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled by the service. Google OAuth tokens are handled server-side, protected in HTTP-only cookies, and marked secure in production. Tokens are never exposed to event guests.

8. Data Retention

Google Photos access tokens are retained only as long as necessary to provide the requested export feature. Users can revoke GOLPHO's access at any time through their Google Account permissions.

GOLPHO otherwise retains event-related information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, provide exports, support hosts and providers, meet legal obligations, and maintain platform security. Users may request deletion of retained account information by emailing play@puttingparty.com.

9. Limited Use Statement

GOLPHO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
